Claims20
A wind turbine blade comprising a plurality of boundary layer fins, aligned substantially parallel to a direction of flow over the blade, for reducing boundary layer separation from the blade.
A blade for a wind turbine, comprising:
- a plurality of boundary layer fins, each fin aligned substantially chordwise on a suction surface of the blade, for reducing boundary layer separation from the blade;
- each of the boundary layer fins arranged between an outer 50% to 90% of a span of the blade:
- and
- a leading edge of each of the boundary layer fins arranged between 15% to 90% of a corresponding chord from a leading edge of the blade.
