Integrated brake and chain disk assembly for door operator

An integrated brake and chain disk assembly for a door operator, said door operator having a housing, an electric motor mounted in the housing with a main shaft coupled to a gear box at one end for rolling a rolling door and to said integrated brake and chain disk assembly at the other end, said integrated brake and chain disk assembly comprising:

• a braking device for braking said main shaft so as to prevent the rolling door from rolling;
• a chain disk device for manually rotating said main shaft to roll the rolling door;
• and
• a clutch device which disengages said main shaft from said chain disk device when the clutch device is energized and engages said main shaft with said chain disk device when the clutch device is not energized, wherein
• said clutch device comprises a sleeve supported by a second hub fixed on the housing;
• said brake device has at least one torsion spring with two free ends which fits on a first hub fixed on the housing;
• said chain disk device has a manual switch unit for accommodating and abutting on the two free ends of the torsion spring;
• when a force in a spiral direction of the torsion spring is exerted on either end of said torsion spring by the manual switch unit, said torsion spring tightly fits on said first hub and becomes immovable and said main shaft is braked;
• and
• when a force in a direction opposite the spiral direction of the torsion spring is exerted on either end of said torsion spring by the manual switch unit, said torsion spring is loosened and released from said first hub, whereby said main shaft is rotated manually.

An integrated brake and chain disk assembly for a door operator, said door operator having a housing and an intermediate shaft with one end extending within the housing and the other end coupling with a rolling door, the integrated brake and chain disk assembly comprising:

• a brake device for braking said intermediate shaft so as to prevent the rolling door from rolling;
• and
• a chain disk device for manually rotating said intermediate shaft so as to roll the rolling door;
• wherein said brake device has at least one torsion spring with two free ends which fits on a first hub fixed on the housing;
• said chain disk device has a manual switch unit for accommodating and abutting on the free ends of the torsion spring;
• when a fore in a spiral direction of the torsion spring is exerted on either end of said torsion spring by the manual switch unit, said torsion spring tightly fits on said first hub and becomes immovable and said intermediate shaft is braked;
• and
• when a force in a direction opposite the spiral direction of the torsion spring is exerted on either end of said torsion spring by the manual switch unit, said torsion spring is loosened and released from said first hub, whereby said intermediate shaft is rotated manually.
