Abstract
Systems for providing feedback to sending entities are provided. In some embodiments, systems for providing feedback to at least one sending entity that sends requests are provided, the systems comprising: a receiving entity comprising at least one processor that: determines a number of active sources associated with each of the at least one sending entity; determines a number of sessions that each of the at least one sending entity is able to accept based on the number of active sources determined; and provides an indication of the number of sessions to each corresponding one of the at least one sending entity.
Claims16
A system for providing feedback to at least one sending entity that sends requests, comprising:
- a receiving entity comprising at least one processor that:
- determines a number of active sources associated with each of the at least one sending entity;
- determines a number of sessions that each of the at least one sending entity is able to accept based on the number of active sources determined;
- and
- provides an indication of the number of sessions to each corresponding one of the at least one sending entity.
A system for providing feedback to at least one sending entity that sends requests, comprising:
- a receiving entity comprising at least one processor that:
- decreases a number of sessions a sending entity is able to accept in response to a new session request being received by the receiving entity;
- increases that number of sessions that the sending entity is able to accept in response to a session request being processed by the receiving entity;
- and
- provides an indication of the number of sessions to the sending entity.
A system for providing feedback to at least one sending entity that sends requests, comprising:
- a receiving entity comprising at least one processor that:
- assigns a freed processing slot to an active sender in response to determining that a request has been processed and that a number of requests to be processed is less than a first limit.
A system for providing feedback to at least one sending entity that sends requests, comprising:
- a receiving entity comprising at least one processor that:
- determines a session service rate for the receiving entity;
- determines a number of sessions to be serviced by the receiving entity;
- determines a target rate limit for each of the at least one sending entity based on the session service rate and the number of sessions to be services;
- and
- provides an indication of the target rate limit to each corresponding one of the at least one sending entity.
