Abstract
A vehicle motor system includes a motor that receives cooling fluid flow from two different cooling sources. A control, such as a valve, selectively changes the cooling flow between the two cooling sources in response to an operational state of the vehicle.
Claims6
A method of cooling a motor, comprising:
- (a) drawing cooling air through a motor;
- (b) drawing the cooling air from a vehicle compartment in response to a first vehicle state;
- and
- (c) drawing the cooling air from a ram air source in response to a second, different vehicle state.
