The invention encompasses among other things fusion proteins including Fc fusion proteins such as CTLA4-Fc having avian N-linked glycosylation patterns obtained from egg white of eggs laid by transgenic avians.

A composition comprising an Fc fusion protein comprising an avian derived oligosaccharide structure.
A composition comprising isolated Fc fusion protein molecules wherein the Fc fusion protein molecules are produced in a transgenic chicken oviduct cell and are isolated from egg white of the transgenic chicken which contains a transgene encoding the Fc fusion protein.
A composition comprising isolated CTLA4-Fc having an avian derived glycosylation pattern.
A composition comprising CTLA4-Fc containing a glycosylation pattern wherein the CTLA4-Fc is produced in an oviduct cell of an avian.
A method of treating a patient comprising administering to a patient a therapeutically effective amount of CTLA4-Fc obtained from a transgenic avian.
