A photovoltaic material comprising solar cells encapsulated by a plastic composite comprising a carrier material selected from the group polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthenate or ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer as well as polyamide 12 layers adjoining the carrier material on both sides.
