System and method for modeling workforce talent supply to enable dynamic creation of job specifications in response thereto

A method of modeling workforce talent supply to enable dynamic creation of job specifications in response thereto, comprising

• building a sampling database of candidates using normalized form of elements derived from candidate resumes to provide an element level description of each candidate in the sampling database;
• estimating the national or regional workforce supply of talent at an element level by statistically extrapolating the information in the sampling database in accordance with data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS);
• receiving a job specification in electronic form and expressed in natural language;
• analyzing the job specification to determine a corresponding set of normalized elements representing the job specification;
• comparing the corresponding set of normalized elements representing the job specification to the estimated workforce supply to determine the degree of match between the job specification and the estimated workforce supply at an element-by-element level;
• presenting the degree of match at an element-by-element level via a user interface so the user can identify how elements expressed in the job specification affect the degree of match with the estimated workforce supply and so that the user may alter the job specification to determine how the alteration affects the degree of match with the estimated workforce supply.
