Abstract
A decision management system simulates a communications network service deployment using business and technology changeable parameters, a base case model, a network cost model and a bandwidth model. The simulations may be performed for different sets of changeable parameters to generate multiple candidate solutions. These solutions are analyzed to identify a solution for deploying the communications network service.

A computer readable storage medium including instructions executed by a computer system to perform a method for simulating and analyzing one or more scenarios for a communications network service to be deployed, the method comprising:
- receiving business and technology changeable parameters describing the communications network service to be deployed;
- simulating the service using the business and technology changeable parameters, a base case model, a network cost model and a bandwidth model to determine at least one candidate solution for deploying the service, wherein the at least one candidate solution includes business and technology sub-solutions;
- and
- generating an analysis of the at least one candidate solution to evaluate an impact of the changeable parameters.
A decision management system comprising:
- data storage storing a base case model, a network cost model and a bandwidth model;
- and
- a processor executing a simulation engine to simulate a communications network service deployment using business and technology changeable parameters, the base case model, the network cost model and the bandwidth model,
- wherein the simulation engine generates a candidate solution from the simulation including an analysis of business and technology sub-solutions in the candidate solution.
A method for analyzing a plurality of scenarios for deploying a communications network service, the method comprising:
- receiving a plurality of different sets of business and technology changeable parameters describing the communications network service to be deployed;
- a computer system simulating the service multiple times, each time using a different set of the sets of business and technology changeable parameters, wherein each simulation also uses a base case model, a network cost model and a bandwidth model to determine a candidate solution for deploying the service, wherein the candidate solution includes business and technology sub-solutions;
- and
- generating an analysis for each candidate solution to evaluate an impact of the different sets of the changeable parameters on deploying the service.
