Abstract
System and method for facilitating verification that an authorized user of an account initiated use of the account in a digital transaction online are described herein. A preferred embodiment employs an application supplied by a third party to associate the account with a client device that is, in turn, associated with the authorized user.
Claims10
A method of facilitating secure payment for digital transactions over a computer network, comprising the steps of:
- associating an account with account-independent information representative of an authorized user of the account;
- identifying a digital transaction involving the account that has been initiated over the computer network;
- and
- verifying electronically, based on the association, that the authorized user initiated the digital transaction involving the account.
