Abstract
Described herein are degradable detachment mechanisms for implantable devices and assemblies comprising these devices. Also provided are methods of using the detachment mechanisms and assemblies.
Claims18
An assembly comprising:
- an implantable device having a proximal region and a distal region, and
- a detachment mechanism comprising a degradable material, wherein the detachment mechanism surrounds at least portion of the proximal region of the implantable device and secures the implantable device to a delivery device when the material is not degraded.
