Abstract
Embodiments of the invention include methods and compositions involving aldose reductase inhibitors for the treatment of inflammation, including inflammatory bowel disease, macular degeneration, or posterior capsule opacification.
Claims12
A method of treating posterior capsule opacification in a subject comprising administering to a subject diagnosed with or at risk of developing inflammatory bowel disease, macular degeneration, or posterior capsule opacification an amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable composition comprising an aldose reductase inhibitor sufficient to prevent, ameliorate, or attenuate posterior capsule opacification.
