A process for the treatment of gases including the catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons present therein, in an oxygen-rich medium, and in the presence of a composition which comprises a metal oxidation catalyst and a silica-containing zirconia.
Apparatus for the treatment of exhaust gases emanating from a diesel or gasoline engine, for the catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons present therein, in an oxygen-rich medium, including a coating of a composition which comprises a metal oxidation catalyst and a silica-containing zirconia, deposited onto a metal or ceramic monolithic substrate.
