Abstract
An orthopedic fixation plate comprises a plurality of cylindrical holes for attaching connectors of a external fixation system, wherein the fixation plate comprises two supporting elements around each orifice of a cylindrical hole wherein the supporting elements are connected with a sleeve and said supporting elements are also connected with a longitudinally oriented ring element arranged in a radial distance of said sleeve.
Claims21
A radiolucent orthopedic fixation plate comprising
- a cylindrical ring element
- two supporting elements attached at the ring element in a spaced relationship
- wherein each supporting element comprises a plurality of cylindrical holes for attaching connectors of a external fixation system,
- wherein each cylindrical hole of one supporting element is connected with a corresponding cylindrical hole of the other supporting element through a sleeve,
- wherein the cylindrical ring element is provided in a radial distance of said sleeve.
The orthopedic fixation plate according to claim 9, wherein the supporting elements are radially oriented flat ring plates.
The orthopedic fixation plate according to claim 10, wherein the sleeves are mounted within the holes of the flat ring plates.
A ring for an external bone fixation system comprising:
- first and second plate elements axially spaced from each other by a cylindrically-shaped member connected to both plates, the first and second plate elements including a plurality of aligned holes;
- and
- hollow sleeves extending between the first and second plate elements coaxially aligned with the holes, the sleeves spaced radially outwardly from the cylindrically-shaped member.
A ring for an external bone fixation system comprising:
- an at least part-circular first plate extending around a central axis, the first plate having first and second axially spaced ends;
- second and third plates extending generally perpendicular to the first plate located adjacent a respective one of the first and second ends of the first plate;
- the second and third plates having axially aligned holes therein;
- and
- a plurality of hollow sleeves coaxial with the holes of the second and third plates extending therebetween.
