Abstract
A method for identifying inhibitors of a lipoxygenase enzyme, the assay comprising: contacting a lipoxygenase enzyme with a test Compound, a lipoxygenase enzyme Substrate and oxygen; adding a fluorometric reagent and a peroxidase; measuring the fluorescent signal; determining the amount of enzyme inhibition by the test Compound.

A method for identifying inhibitors of a lipoxygenase enzyme, the assay comprising:
- contacting a lipoxygenase enzyme with a test compound, a lipoxygenase enzyme substrate and oxygen;
- adding a fluorometric reagent and a peroxidase;
- measuring the fluorescent signal;
- determining the amount of enzyme inhibition by the test compound.
