Abstract
A clamping gap nut, comprising: an internal thread (2) about a longitudinal axis (A) of said clamping gap nut; at least two gap ends (3, 4) which face each other tangentially and between them form a gap (5); and at least one tensioning element (10; 10a) connected to each of said gap ends (3, 4), for exerting a force on said gap ends (3, 4) which causes a relative movement of said gap ends (3, 4) in a tangential direction, wherein said at least one tensioning element (10; 10a) is connected, angularly movable, to at least one of said gap ends (3, 4) via a joint which compensates for a change in direction of said force caused by said relative movement of said gap ends (3, 4).
Claims26
A clamping gap nut, comprising:
- a) an annular body which is divided axially only once;
- b) an internal thread about a longitudinal axis of said clamping gap nut;
- c) at least two gap ends which face each other tangentially and between said two gap ends form a gap;
- d) said annular body extending from one of said gap ends to the other in a single division;
- and
- e) at least one tensioning element connected to each of said gap ends and bridging the gap above the internal thread, for exerting a force on said gap ends which causes a relative movement of said gap ends in a tangential direction, wherein
- f) said at least one tensioning element is connected, angularly movable, to at least one of said gap ends via a joint which compensates for a change in direction of said force caused by said relative movement of said gap ends.
A clamping gap nut, comprising:
- a) an internal thread about a longitudinal axis of said clamping gap nut;
- b) a left-hand gap end and a right-hand gap end which face each other tangentially and between them form a gap;
- c) and at least one tensioning screw connected to each of said gap ends, for exerting a force on said gap ends which causes a relative movement of said gap ends in a tangential direction,
- d) said tensioning screw comprising a first thread section and a second thread section, wherein
- e) said at least one tensioning element is connected, angularly movable, to both of said gap ends via a respective joint which compensates for a change in direction of said force caused by said relative movement of said gap ends, and wherein
- f) said first thread section is connected in thread engagement with a joint element of the joint of said left-hand gap end and said second thread section is connected in thread engagement with another joint element of the joint of said right-hand gap end.
