Abstract
In an optical recording medium for conducting at least one of reading and recording of optical information, the optical recording medium includes: a base board; and an antireflection layer composed of at least one layer, which is provided on a surface of a side of the base board where light enters for conducting at least one of the reading and recording of information. A wavelength of light that makes reflectance of the antireflection layer to light to be smallest is longer than that of the light that enters for conducting at least one of the reading and recording of information.
Claims8
An optical recording medium for conducting at least one of reading and recording of optical information, the optical recording medium comprising:
- (a) a base board;
- and
- (b) an antireflection layer provided on a surface of a side of the base board where light enters for conducting at least one of the reading and recording of information,
- wherein a wavelength of light that makes reflectance of the antireflection layer to light to be smallest is longer than that of the light that enters for conducting at least one of the reading and recording of information.

A method of recording and reading of information, comprising the steps of:
- (a) converging light with an objective lens;
- and
- (b) making the converged light pass through an antireflection layer first provided an optical recording medium;
- and
- (c) conducting at least one of recording and reading of information by light having a wavelength shorter than a wavelength of light which makes reflectance of the antireflection layer for light to be minimum.
