Technology for selecting texts suitable as processing objects

A method comprising:

• retrieving a plurality of texts from a web site in response to an input of an address to the website;
• translating a subset of the plurality of texts from a first language to a second language to generate translations of the subset of texts;
• verifying the translations of the subset of texts;
• updating a translation dictionary based on mistranslated phrases indicated with said verifying;
• and
• translating the plurality of texts from the first language to the second language using the updated translation dictionary.

One or more machine-readable media having stored therein a program product, which when executed a set of one or more processor units causes the set of one or more processor units to perform operations that comprise:

• determining if one or more phrases are in a plurality of texts submitted for translation;
• setting priorities for the plurality of texts based, at least in part, on a frequency of occurrence of the one or more phrases within the texts;
• calculating an index for each of the plurality of texts based at least in part on the respective priorities of the one or more texts;
• and
• indicating a subset of the plurality of texts for verifying the translation, wherein the subset of texts comprises those of the plurality of texts with the highest indexes.

An apparatus comprising:

• a set of one or more processing units;
• a network interface;
• and
• a selection unit operable to,
• determine if one or more phrases are in a plurality of texts submitted for translation;
• set priorities for the plurality of texts based, at least in part, on a frequency of occurrence of the one or more phrases within the texts;
• calculate an index for each of the plurality of texts based at least in part on the respective priorities of the one or more texts;
• and
• indicate a subset of the plurality of texts for verifying the translation, wherein the subset of texts comprises those of the plurality of texts with the highest indexes.
