Techniques For Use With Automated Circuit Design and Simulations

An apparatus comprising a machine readable medium that contains instructions which when executed cause a computer to:

• receive descriptions of a design circuitry including design registers to receive register input signals;
• and
• generate additional descriptions through at least one computer program including descriptions of additional registers to receive snapshots of the content from the design registers, wherein the additional registers provide register initial condition signals for use in a simulation of at least a portion of the design circuitry.

An apparatus comprising:

• design registers to receive register input signals and additional registers to receive snapshots of content of the design registers;
• and
• an input signal storage circuitry to receive the register input signals, wherein in response to a trigger condition, the additional registers provide initial condition signals and the input signal storage circuitry provides register input signals.
