Abstract
A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method determines whether one or more manageability conditions are present in a computer system, and then invokes an out-of-service manageability remediation environment stored within a portion of a flash device in the computer system when one or more manageability conditions are present.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- determining whether one or more manageability conditions are present in a computer system;
- and
- invoking an out-of-service manageability remediation environment stored within a portion of a flash device in the computer system when one or more manageability conditions are present.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a manageability condition detection unit to determine whether one or more manageability conditions are present in a computer system;
- and
- an out-of-service manageability invocation unit to invoke an out-of-service manageability remediation environment stored within a portion of a flash device in the computer system when one or more manageability conditions are present.
A computer system, comprising:
- a first interconnect;
- a processor coupled to the first interconnect;
- a chipset coupled to the first interconnect;
- a second point-to-point interconnect;
- a flash device coupled to the second point-to-point interconnect;
- and
- a flash device controller unit, coupled to the chipset and the second point-to-point interconnect, the flash device controller unit operable to:
- determine whether one or more manageability conditions are present in a computer system;
- and
- invoke an out-of-service manageability remediation environment stored within a portion of a flash device in the computer system when one or more manageability conditions are present.
