Image-forming apparatus and information-processing method

A method for controlling an image-forming apparatus including a web browser and connectable to a network, the method comprising:

• transmitting a menu request including identification information of the image-forming apparatus;
• receiving a response to the menu request to the menu request from a management server via the network;
• analyzing and executing a processing command included in content of the received response;
• and
• generating a display file by embedding a processing result of the executed processing command into the content of the received response and displaying the display file via the web browser.

A computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer including a web browser and connectable to a network to execute a method comprising:

• transmitting a menu request including identification information of the image-forming apparatus;
• receiving a response to the menu request to the menu request from a management server via the network;
• analyzing and executing a processing command included in content of the received response;
• and
• generating a display file by embedding a processing result of the executed processing command into the content of the received response and displaying the display file via the web browser.

A system including a management server and an image-forming apparatus, the management server being configured to manage information relating to an image-forming apparatus, the image-forming apparatus including a web browser and connectable to the management server via a network,

• the management server comprising:
• a management unit configured to manage information relating to the image-forming apparatus that is not stored in the image-forming apparatus;
• and
• a response unit configured to receive a menu request transmitted from the image-forming apparatus and to transmit, to the image-forming apparatus, a response to the menu request including information relating to the image-forming apparatus managed by the management unit that corresponds to identification information of the image-forming apparatus,
• the image-forming apparatus comprising:
• a transmission unit configured to transmit a menu request including the identification information of the image-forming apparatus;
• a reception unit configured to receive a response to the menu request from the management server via the network;
• an execution unit configured to analyze content of the response received by the reception unit and to execute a processing command included in the response to acquire information relating to the image-forming apparatus that is not managed by the management server;
• and
• a display unit configured to generate a display file by embedding a processing result of the processing command executed by the execution unit into the content of the response received by the reception unit and to display the display file via the web browser,
• wherein the display unit of the image-forming apparatus displays in combination information relating to an image-forming apparatus managed independently by the management server and information relating to the image-forming apparatus managed at the image-forming apparatus.
