Abstract
In a core member for a magnetic structure including an insulating coating having high exfoliation resistance and having corrosion resistance, the core member includes a coating layer of electrically insulating oil having a polar group, the coating layer being provided on a surface of a steel member, the polar group being bonded, via a coupling agent, to the steel member.

A core member for a magnetic structure comprising:
- a steel member having a surface;
- a coating layer of electrically insulating oil having a polar group, the coating layer being formed on the surface of the steel member;
- and
- a coupling agent bonding the polar group and the steel member together.
