Display device

A display device comprising:

• a lighting portion comprising a first substrate comprising a front surface and a back surface, an organic electroluminescent portion disposed on the front surface of the first substrate, a second substrate and a sealing layer attaching the first substrate to the second substrate so as to seal the organic electroluminescent portion therebetween, the organic electroluminescent portion comprising a patterned anode layer disposed on the front surface and made of a transparent electrode material, a patterned organic layer disposed on the patterned anode layer and a patterned cathode layer disposed on the patterned organic layer;
• and
• a reflective liquid crystal display device attached to the back surface of the first substrate and comprising a third substrate, a plurality of reflective pixel electrodes disposed on the third substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed over the reflective pixel electrodes and a common electrode disposed on the liquid crystal layer, the reflective pixel electrodes being configured to receive light emitted from the lighting portion and define a plurality of pixels,
• wherein a width of a pattern of the patterned cathode layer is larger than a width of a pattern of the patterned anode layer and is larger than a width of a pattern of the patterned organic layer.
