Connector

A connector, comprising:

• a housing (10) with a terminal insertion hole (24) of a substantially rectangular cross section, a restriction (25) projecting inwardly at an inner corner of the terminal insertion hole (24), the restriction (25) being spaced laterally from a side surface of the terminal insertion hole (24) by a selected lateral distance;
• and
• a terminal fitting (30) with a substantially rectangular tube (31) having upper and lower wall (34, 36) and first and second side walls (35, 37), corners (38, 39, 40, 44) between adjacent walls (34-37), a positioning projection (43) projecting out from the upper wall (34) at a position aligned with an outer surface of the first side wall (35), the positioning projection (43) having an outer cross-sectional width less than the lateral distance between the restriction (25) and the side surface of the insertion hole (24) so that the positioning projection (43) can move between the restriction (25) and the side surface of the terminal insertion hole (24) when the terminal fitting (30) is in a proper rotational orientation and so that one of the corners (38, 39, 40, 44) interferes with the restriction when the terminal fitting (30) is in an improper rotational orientation.
