Abstract
A spacer (52) interposed between a plurality of batteries in a battery module has an inner cavity. A filling agent having fire-extinguishing capability is filled in the inner cavity. An opening can be formed at a portion (low-melting point portion (14)) of the spacer (52) by heat so that the filling agent can flow out of the spacer.
Claims20
A battery module comprising:
- a plurality of batteries connected in series or in parallel, and at least one spacer, for heat insulation and/or heat release, interposed between the plurality of batteries;
- and
- a filling agent filled in an inner cavity provided in the at least one spacer, the filling agent having fire-extinguishing capability, wherein
- an opening can be formed in at least a portion of the at least one spacer by heat so that the filling agent can flow out therethrough.
1 more element
A battery module comprising:
- a plurality of batteries connected in series or in parallel, and at least one spacer, for heat insulation and/or heat release, interposed between the plurality of batteries;
- and
- a heat conductive material layer formed between the at least one spacer and at least one of the plurality of batteries.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
