Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a photosensitive member having a movable surface, the photosensitive member including a photosensitive layer and an exposure apparatus which exposes the photosensitive layer to form an electrostatic latent image and includes light emitting portions arranged in a grid pattern, the photosensitive layer and the exposure apparatus being movable in union with the photosensitive member;
• a charging apparatus arranged to charge a surface of the photosensitive member;
• a developing apparatus arranged to supply a developer to the electrostatic latent image in a development region, thereby developing the electrostatic latent image to a developer image;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the exposure apparatus such that the exposure apparatus is able to perform plural exposures, including exposure within the development region, for the same area on the photosensitive layer,
• wherein the electrostatic latent image formed in the same area on the photosensitive layer by the exposure apparatus is developed by the developing apparatus.

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a photosensitive member having a movable surface;
• a charging apparatus arranged to charge a surface of the photosensitive member;
• a developing apparatus arranged to supply a developer to the electrostatic latent image in a development region, thereby developing the electrostatic latent image to a developer image;
• an exposure apparatus arranged to expose the surface of the photosensitive member to form the electrostatic latent image, the exposure apparatus including a first exposure apparatus and a second exposure apparatus which is located downstream of a position of exposure made by the first exposure apparatus in a moving direction of the surface of the photosensitive member and is disposed inside the photosensitive member to be able to perform exposure within the development region;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the first exposure apparatus and the second exposure apparatus such that the second exposure apparatus is able to expose the same area on the photosensitive layer which has been exposed by the first exposure apparatus,
• wherein the electrostatic latent image formed in the same area on the photosensitive layer by the first exposure apparatus and the second exposure apparatus is developed by the developing apparatus.
