Enhanced Electrical Cables

A wellbore cable comprising:

• (a) at least one insulated conductor;
• (b) at least one layer of composite strength members surrounding the insulated conductor, the interstices formed between the composite strength members filled with a filler;
• (c) a polymeric material disposed in interstitial spaces formed between the armor wires and interstitial spaces formed between the armor wires and the insulated conductor, whereby the polymeric material forming continuously bonded layer which separates and encapsulates armor wires forming the first layer of armor wires;
• and
• (d) a layer of shaped strength members disposed adjacent the outer periphery of the first layer of armor wires, the strength members forming a substantially smooth outer surface of the cable.
