An authentication unit comprising:
- a patient details acquisition unit;
- a liquid characteristics acquisition unit;
- a comparison unit adapted to calculate a correlation value between said details and said characteristics;
- and
- a valve actuator control unit adapted to trigger an infusion valve actuator if said correlation value is higher than a predetermined threshold value.
An infusion control valve adapted to be actuated by a valve actuator, wherein said valve actuator is adapted to be triggered by an authentication unit.
An infusion valve actuator adapted to actuate an infusion control valve upon being triggered by an authentication unit.
A method for delivering an infusion comprising triggering an infusion valve actuator adapted to actuate an infusion control valve.
