Starter device for an engine unit with improved damping

Abstract

In order to create a starter device (100) for starting an internal combustion engine, in particular for hand-held tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, strimmers and the like, with a rotatable pulling medium roller (2) which can be brought into functional connection with the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine in order to bring about a rotation of the crankshaft, which starter device has a simply configured functional connection between the crankshaft and the pulling medium roller and effectively reduces the force peaks reaching the pulling medium roller, it is proposed that a deformation body (3) with an elastic deformation behaviour is arranged in the functional connection between the pulling medium roller (2) and the crankshaft, in which deformation body a leading or lagging of the crankshaft with respect to the pulling medium roller (2) can be compensated.
