Video Recorder and Printing System Including Video Recorder

A printing system comprising a personal computer, a printer, and a video recorder,

• wherein the video recorder is connected to the personal computer,
• wherein the personal computer is connected to the printer,
• wherein the video recorder comprises:
• a tuner for receiving a television program and program information corresponding to the television program;
• a recording medium for recording the television program and the program information received by the tuner;
• operation means for operating the video recorder;
• control means for controlling each component in the video recorder;
• image generating means for generating the label image based on the television program selected by the user with the operation means, and the program information corresponding to the television program;
• XML (Extensible Markup Language) document generating means for generating the XML document corresponding to the label image generated by the image generating means;
• and
• XML document sending means for sending the XML document generated by the XML document generating means to the PC,
• wherein the personal computer comprises:
• XML document receiving means for receiving the XML document from the video recorder;
• restoring means for restoring the XML document received by the XML document receiving means to its original label image;
• PC image editing means which is used by the user to edit the label image restored by the restoring means;
• and
• PC image sending means for sending the label image edited by the PC image editing means.
