Abstract
A method and system of applying a fitting function to an element in an image, and determining the segments of the element that are included in an boundary of a blood vessel in the image.

A method comprising:
- designating a plurality of segments of a vessel boundary in an image of said vessel;
- applying a fitting function to a first of said segments with a second of said segments;
- applying said fitting function to said first segment with a third of said segments;
- and
- comparing a fit of said first segment and said second segment, to a fit of said first segment with said third segment.

- designating an element in an image into a plurality of segments;
- comparing a combination of at least two segments of said plurality of segments to a pre-defined form;
- selecting said combination based on a result of said comparison;
- and
- assembling said combination of at least two segments into a boundary of a blood vessel appearing in said image.

- apply a fitting function to a first of said segments with a second of said segments;
- apply said fitting function to said first segment with a third of said segments;
