Display apparatus and method of fabricating the same

A method of fabricating a display apparatus, the method comprising:

• forming a gate line on a first substrate including a pixel area;
• forming a common electrode on the first substrate, wherein the common electrode is spaced apart from the gate line;
• forming a first insulating interlayer to cover the gate line and the common electrode, wherein the first insulating interlayer comprises a contact hole to expose the common electrode;
• forming a first data line on the first insulating interlayer, wherein the first data line crosses the pixel area and is electrically connected to the common electrode through the contact hole;
• forming a second data line on the first insulating interlayer;
• forming a second insulating interlayer to cover the first and second data lines;
• forming a pixel electrode on the second insulating interlayer;
• and
• coupling a second substrate with the first substrate.

A method of fabricating a display apparatus, the method comprising:

• forming a gate line on a first substrate including a pixel area;
• forming a first insulating interlayer on the first substrate to cover the gate line;
• forming a common electrode on the first insulating interlayer;
• forming a first data line on the first insulating interlayer to cross the pixel area, wherein the first data line is connected to the common electrode;
• forming a second data line on the first insulating interlayer;
• forming a second insulating interlayer on the first substrate to cover the common electrode, the first data line and the second data line;
• forming a pixel electrode on the second insulating interlayer;
• and
• coupling a second substrate with the first substrate.
