Abstract
An interactive television program guide with remote access is provided. The interactive television program guide is implemented on interactive television program guide equipment. A remote program guide access device is connected to the interactive television program guide equipment by a remote access link to provide a user with remote access to program guide functions.

A method for applying remotely stored user profile information to a television equipment device, comprising:
- setting up a user profile for at least one user using a first television equipment device, wherein the first television equipment device is coupled to a plurality of television equipment devices;
- determining that the user is using a second television equipment device, wherein the second television equipment device is one of the plurality of television equipment devices;
- and
- providing the user profile from the first television equipment device to the second television equipment device in response to determining.
A system for applying remotely stored user profile information to a television equipment device, comprising:
- a first television equipment device, coupled to a plurality of television equipment devices, that is configured to set up a user profile for at least one user, the first television equipment device comprising a first processor;
- and
- a second television equipment device comprising a second processor, wherein the second television equipment device is one of the plurality of television equipment devices, the second processor configured to:
- determine that the user is using the second television equipment device;
- and
- receive the user profile from the first television equipment device in response to determining.
