Abstract
The present invention is aimed at a process for the preparation of (hetero)aromatic aldehydes. The aldehydes are obtained from corresponding Hal′-substituted (hetero)aromatics by palladium-catalysed reductive carbonylation in the presence of a specific monodentate phosphane-based ligand system.
Claims8
A process for the preparation of (hetero)aromatic aldehydes from Hal′-substituted (hetero)aromatics, CO and H2 in the presence of a base and a palladium catalyst having a monodentate phosphane ligand of the general formula (I)
- where
- R1 and R2 independently of one another are (C5-C20)-alkyl, where the C atom which is bonded to phosphorus is a tertiary centre, and
- R3 is a primary, optionally linear (C3-C20)-alkyl radical.
