Method, a system and a network element for performing a handover of a mobile equipment

A system to perform a handover of a mobile equipment from a source network to a target network in a mobile telecommunication system, comprising:

• a network element comprising a buffer configured to buffer data for a handover, wherein the data may be transferred via the source network to the mobile equipment when the mobile equipment is linked to the source network;
• and
• an interface operatively connected between the network element and the target network configured to forward the data buffered in the buffer of the network element from the network element to the target network to transfer the data to the mobile equipment after the mobile equipment has been linked to the target network.

A network element to perform a handover of a mobile equipment from a source network to a target network in a mobile telecommunication system, comprising:

• a buffer configured to buffer data for a handover, wherein the data may be transferred via the source network to the mobile equipment when the mobile equipment is linked to the source network;
• and
• a transmitter configured to forward the data buffered in the buffer to the target network to transfer the data to the mobile equipment after the mobile equipment has been linked to the target network.

A system for performing a handover of a mobile equipment from a source network to a target network in a mobile telecommunication system, comprising:

• network element means comprising buffer means for buffering data for a handover, wherein the data may be transferred via the source network to the mobile equipment when the mobile equipment is linked to the source network;
• and
• interface means operatively connected between the network element and the target network for forwarding the data buffered in the buffer of the network element from the network element to the target network for transferring the data to the mobile equipment after the mobile equipment has been linked to the target network.

A network element for performing a handover of a mobile equipment from a source network to a target network in a mobile telecommunication system, comprising:

• buffer means for buffering data for a handover, wherein the data may be transferred via the source network to the mobile equipment when the mobile equipment is linked to the source network;
• and
• transmitter means for forwarding the data buffered in the buffer to the target network for transferring the data to the mobile equipment after the mobile equipment has been linked to the target network.
