Abstract
An electrical connector assembly (1) includes an electrical connector including an insulative housing (2) having an upper and a lower surfaces, and a number of contacts received in the insulative housing, an pick-up cap (3) assembled to the insulative housing. Four pairs of latching sections (36) extend from four edges of the body portion (30) of the pick-up cap toward the insulative housing (2), and the insulative housing (2) defines four pairs of recesses (224) to latch with the latching sections (36).

An electrical connector assembly, comprising:
- an electrical connector, comprising:
- an insulative housing having an upper surface and a lower surface;
- and
- a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing, each contact formed with an upper end and a lower end exposed beyond the upper and the lower surfaces of the insulative housing, respectively;
- a pick-up cap assembled to the insulative housing and comprising a body portion with four side edges;
- and each side edge providing with a pair of latching sections extending downwardly to latch the insulative housing.

A socket assembly comprising:
- an insulative housing defining a plurality of side walls;
- a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing;
- a pick up cap mounted upon the socket and defining an upward suction surface, said pick up cap further equipped with at least first, second and third sets of latches for engagement with the housing;
- wherein
- the first set and the second set are arranged in an opposite manner to cooperate with each other so as to have said cap efficiently hold said housing without back-and-forth movement along a first horizontal direction, and said third set has said cap hold said housing without movement along a second horizontal direction which is not parallel to said first horizontal direction.

- an insulative housing defining a plurality of side walls having at least first, second and third corresponding side walls neighboring with one another;
- a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing;
