Abstract
Through embodiments, an optical medium is disclosed which includes features for presenting alphanumeric text and graphics which can be made discernable or indiscernible.
Claims9
An optical medium, readable by an optical reader, comprising:
- a substrate molded so as to have a first major surface with information pits and information lands thereon and a second major surface that is relatively planar;
- and
- an optical state change security material, capable of transitioning from a first optical state to a second optical state, applied to an area of said first major surface outside of the lead-in or lead-out portions, in a pattern forming one or more alphanumeric characters and/or graphics.
