Abstract
A method and apparatus for managing communication in a communication network is provided. The method includes obtaining traffic information from one or more Base Stations (BSs). The traffic information of a BS corresponds to a traffic condition over one or more interfaces between the BS and a plurality of Mobile Stations (MSs) communicating with the BS. The method further includes controlling traffic in one or more backhaul links based on the traffic information obtained from one or more BS.
Claims20
A method for managing communication in a communication network, the method comprises:
- obtaining traffic information from at least one Base Station (BS), wherein traffic information of a BS corresponds to a traffic condition over at least one interface between the BS and a plurality of Mobile Stations (MSs) communicating with the BS;
- and
- controlling traffic in at least one backhaul link based on the traffic information obtained from the at least one BS.
An apparatus for managing communication in a communication network, the apparatus comprises a scheduler, wherein the scheduler is configured to:
- obtain traffic information from at least one Base Station (BS), wherein traffic information of a BS corresponds to a traffic condition over at least one interface between the BS and a plurality of Mobile Stations (MSs) communicating with the BS;
- and
- control traffic in at least one backhaul link based on the traffic information obtained from the at least one BS, the at least one backhaul link connects the at least one BS with the apparatus.
