A printing apparatus comprising:
- a chuck configured to support a substrate thereon;
- a rail spaced apart from said chuck;
- a printhead carriage frame coupled to said rail;
- and
- a printhead carriage rotatably coupled to said printhead carriage frame, said printhead carriage coupled to said printhead carriage frame at a location offset from a center of rotation of said printhead carriage, said printhead carriage being generally free from any coupling with said printhead carriage frame at said center of rotation thereof.

A printing apparatus comprising:
- a chuck configured to support a substrate thereon;
- a rail spaced apart from said chuck;
- a printhead carriage frame coupled to said rail;
- a printhead carriage contained within said printhead carriage frame;
- and
- a pivotal coupling including a first end coupled to said printhead carriage frame and a second end coupled to said printhead carriage, thereby defining a center of rotation of said printhead carriage.

A printhead alignment method comprising:
- providing information regarding a rail irregularity;
- communicating the information regarding the rail irregularity to a computer;
- and
- adjusting a positioning of the printhead based on a feedback from the computer to account for the irregularity.
1 more element
A printhead alignment method comprising:
- providing information regarding a positional offset resulting from an adjustment of a printhead carriage;
- translating the printhead carriage in a first direction to account for a first component of the positional offset;
- and
- translating a substrate to be printed upon by the printhead carriage in a second direction to account for a second component of the positional offset,
- wherein the adjustment comprises rotation of the printhead carriage in a plane parallel to the substrate.
