Abstract
The pipe for use in the field of sanitation and/or heating, comprises —an inner layer made of a fluoπnated polymer material, —an adhesive layer being in contact with the inner layer, and —an outer layer being in contact with the adhesive layer and including a polyolefin material, —wherein the adhesive layer is configured to bond the fluorinated polymer material of the inner layer to the polyolefin material of the outer layer.
Claims17
A pipe for use in the field of sanitation and/or heating, comprising
- an inner layer made of a halogenated polymer material,
- an adhesive layer being in contact with the inner layer, and
- an outer layer being in contact with the adhesive layer and including a polyolefin material,
- wherein the adhesive layer is configured to bond the halogenated polymer material of the inner layer to the polyolefin material of the outer layer.
Use of halogenated polymers and, in particular, fluorinated or chlorinated polymers like polyolefins, as an inner layer of a polyolefin based tap water or hot or cold water pipe for improving the oxidation stability and leaching out resistance of stabilizers and/or other additives of the polyolefin based pipe.
