Abstract
A limited use apparatus for treating contact lenses is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a case having a body and a left and right cover which are joinable to form chambers for receiving the lenses. Each of the chambers has an operative face for receiving the lens. A reactive layer is provided on a portion of each operative face. The operative faces and the reactive layers are dimensioned and arranged whereby the reactive layers come into engagement with respective optical surfaces of a lens positioned there-between when the cover and body are joined together.
Claims3
A soft contact lens cleaning apparatus comprising:
- i) a body;
- ii) a generally concave chamber formed in said body, said generally concave chamber formed of a pliant material and adapted to receive a convex side of a soft contact lens and a volume of contact lens cleaning solution;
- iii) an annular channel formed above and around said chamber, including an inner band and an outer band, said annular channel formed of the pliant material;
- iv) a cover formed of a hard material coupled to said body;
- and
- v) a convex member adapted to support the concave side of the soft contact lens, said member formed from said cover, and covered with said pliant material, and an annular rim formed around said convex member and dimensioned and shaped to engage with said annular channel to form a seal thereby sealing and enclosing said soft contact lens between said convex member and said concave chamber.
