Abstract
A method and apparatus for testing a data transfer system. The method comprises the steps of storing a first table, the first table noting at least a time of issuance of at least one command and a time of completion of the command and comparing the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command. A timeout condition is registered if the processor determines that a time longer than a predetermined time elapsed between the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command.
Claims23
A test system for testing a data transfer system, comprising:
- a memory for storing a first table, the first table noting at least a time of issuance of at least one command and a time of completion of the command;
- and
- a processor for comparing the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command;
- wherein if the processor determines that a time longer than a predetermined time elapsed between the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command, a timeout condition is registered.
The test system of claim 2, wherein upon registration of a timeout condition, the test system provides a history of the first table in the memory.
A test system for testing a data transfer system, comprising:
- a memory for storing a first table, the first table noting at least a time of issuance of at least one command;
- and
- a processor for comparing the time of issuance of the command and a current time;
- wherein if the processor determines that a time longer than a predetermined time elapsed between the time of issuance of the command and current time, a timeout condition is registered.
A method for testing a data transfer system, comprising the steps of:
- storing a first table, the first table noting at least a time of issuance of at least one command and a time of completion of the command;
- comparing the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command;
- and
- registering a timeout condition if the processor determines that a time longer than a predetermined time elapsed between the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command.
A computer program stored on a computer readable medium, the computer program comprising instructions for testing operation of an electronic system performing the steps of:
- storing a first table, the first table noting at least a time of issuance of at least one command and a time of completion of the command;
- comparing the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command;
- and
- registering a timeout condition if the processor determines that a time longer than a predetermined time elapsed between the time of issuance of the command and the time of completion of the command.
