Abstract
A writing board eraser consisting of a trough-like main body with two substantially flat end panels, a hollow handle integral and perpendicular to a longitudinal side of the main body, a soft flexible erasing pad covering at least half of an oval cylinder surrounding an axel rod connected to a rotating lever, which enables rotating the erasing pad to contact a longitudinal scraping blade attached to the internal concave surface of the trough-like main body thus removing dust which then drops into the hollow handle, which includes a threaded distal end with a mating cap for removal of accumulated dust.
Claims9
A writing board eraser comprising:
- a) a trough-like main body defining an open front side, a closed back side, and two substantially flat end panels;
- b) a hollow handle integral to said main body and perpendicular to a longitudinal side of said main body approximately equidistant from each end, wherein said hollow handle includes a threaded distal end with a mating cap;
- c) an axel rod with a predetermined length;
- d) a pivotable cylinder, said cylinder fixed along a substantially central axis to said axel rod, said axel rod extending at each end beyond ends of said pivotable cylinder;
- e) a soft flexible erasing pad covering at least half of outer surface of said pivotable cylinder;
- f) a longitudinal scraping blade attached to internal concave surface of said trough-like main body;
- and
- g) a rotating means connected to said axel rod to enable contacting said soft flexible erasing pad with said longitudinal scraping blade as said pivotable cylinder is rotated.
