Abstract
A comparator circuit of the present invention includes a comparator section and a current buffer circuit. In a normal mode, a standby current outputted from the comparator section is amplified by a predetermined times at the current buffer circuit. On the other hand, the standby current is not amplified in a standby mode.
Claims12
A comparator circuit which goes into either a normal mode or a standby mode based on a result of comparison of an input voltage and a threshold voltage, and which outputs an output current according to each of the modes,
- the comparator circuit comprising:
- a comparator section for comparing the input voltage and the threshold voltage, and for outputting a standby current in the standby mode, the standby current indicating a current flowing through the comparator circuit in the standby mode;
- and
- an amplifier circuit for amplifying and outputting, in the normal mode, the standby current outputted from the comparator section.
An infrared remote control receiver comprising a comparator circuit which goes into either a normal mode or a standby mode based on a result of comparison of an input voltage and a threshold voltage, and which outputs an output current according to each of the modes,
- the comparator circuit including:
- a comparator section for comparing the input voltage and the threshold voltage, and for outputting a standby current in the standby mode, the standby current indicating a current flowing through the comparator circuit in the standby mode;
- and
- an amplifier circuit for amplifying and outputting, in the normal mode, the standby current outputted from the comparator section.
