Abstract
Solid state devices, such as solid state light emitting devices, having non-linear current spreading segments are disclosed. Projection subsystems and systems equipped with such solid state light emitting devices are also disclosed.
Claims25
A solid state device, comprising:
- a first layer having a surface;
- and
- a first current spreading segment extending at least partially and non-linearly on said surface of the first layer.
A method comprising:
- energizing a first solid state device for a first time period;
- and
- energizing either the first or a second solid state device for a second time period;
- wherein at least one of the solid state device includes
- a first layer having a surface, and
- a first current spreading segment extending at least partially and non-linearly on said surface of the first layer.
