Abstract
An upper valve part for fittings has a head piece through which a spindle passes, means for shut-off, and a seal that comes to rest on the fitting. A radially acting locking device is provided.

An upper valve part for fittings, comprising:
- a head piece;
- a spindle passing through the head piece;
- a shut-off device connected to the spindle;
- a seal adapted to rest on the fitting;
- and
- a radially acting locking device for locking the valve part in an open or closed position.
