Abstract
A gaming device is described that provides a number of different methods for cashing out credit balances from a gaming device. These methods include providing incentives, such as benefits, to a player for selecting particular monetary forms in which to receive the cash out. Non-preferred cash out forms may be associated with disincentives, such as penalties, to dissuade players from selecting these types of monetary transfers. In certain embodiments, incentives and disincentives may be associated with a variety of available monetary forms for cash out.

A method, comprising:
- determining a request to cash out a value from a balance associated with a gaming device;
- determining a form in which the value is to be cashed out;
- and
- providing a benefit if the form is a first form but not providing the benefit if the form is a second form.
A method, comprising:
- determining a request to cash out a value from a balance associated with a gaming device;
- determining a form in which the value is to be cashed out;
- and
- charging a fee if the form is a first form but not charging the fee if the form is a second form.
A method for controlling a gaming device, comprising:
- receiving a request for a cash out value;
- receiving a selection of a monetary form from a plurality of monetary forms, the monetary form having an associated benefit;
- deducting the cash out value from a balance;
- providing the cash out value in the monetary form selected;
- and
- providing the benefit.
A method for controlling a gaming device, comprising:
- receiving a request for a cash out value;
- receiving a selection of a monetary form from a plurality of monetary forms, the monetary form having an associated fee;
- deducting the sum of the cash out value and fee from a balance;
- and
- providing the cash out value in the monetary form selected.
A method for controlling a gaming device, comprising:
- receiving a monetary value;
- adding the monetary value to a balance associated with the gaming device, the balance for making a wager;
- selecting a monetary form from a plurality of monetary forms to receive a cash out value;
- at least one of the plurality of monetary forms associated with a benefit;
- and
- receiving the cash out value in the monetary form selected.
A method for controlling a gaming device, comprising:
- receiving a request for a cash out value;
- receiving a selection of a monetary form from a plurality of monetary forms, the monetary form having an associated benefit;
- deducting the cash out value from a balance;
- and
- providing the sum of the cash out value and the benefit in the monetary form selected.
