A dock leveller, comprising a deck plate having a deck upper surface, which deck plate is pivotably connectible with a platform; a lip having a lip upper surface, which lip upper surface, with the deck upper surface, forms at least a part of a transport surface; and a lip hinge construction with a pivot element which pivotably connects an end of the lip and an end of the deck plate of the dock leveller, characterized in that the upper surface of the lip, through the pivot element, is placeable at a positive angle or a negative angle relative to a position in line with the upper surface of the deck, being pivotable to both one side and the other side.
A dock leveller (1), comprising
A dock leveller, (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the pivot element (82) has an upper surface (83) which is contiguous to the lip upper surface (61) and the deck upper surface (51).
A dock leveller (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the maximum overall pivoting range of the lip is in the order of 14 degrees.
A dock leveller (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the deck plate (5) in operative position can make an angle of at most 7 degrees with the platform (3).
A dock leveller (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the lip upper surface (61) slopes down from the deck to a front end of the lip and in operation is held at a small angle relative to the platform (3), which angle is, for instance, 1 degree.
A dock leveller (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, further comprising an extension hinge construction (7), which is connected with an end of the deck plate (5) remote from the lip (6), and is connectible with a platform edge.
A dock leveller (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, at least partly provided with an antislip coating.
