Abstract
There is provided an image output method including the steps of reading image data in a predetermined format, outputting an image based on the read image data according to a first output method, outputting an image based on the read image data according to a second output method, and inputting a parameter for a process of the read image data in parallel to the reading of the image data, wherein the predetermined format is adaptable to the first output method and the second output method.
Claims39
An image output method for an image forming apparatus, comprising:
- reading image data in a predetermined format;
- outputting an image based on the read image data according to a first output method;
- outputting an image based on the read image data according to a second output method;
- and
- inputting a parameter for a process of the read image data in parallel to the reading of the image data, wherein the predetermined format is adaptable to the first output method and the second output method.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- an image reading unit configured to read image data;
- an image output unit configured to output an image based on the read image data;
- and
- a start command receiving unit configured to receive an image output start command issued by a user,
- wherein the image reading unit includes a first reading unit configured for reading the image data before the start command receiving unit receives the image output start command,
- wherein the image output unit outputs the image after the start command receiving unit receives the image output start command.
An image forming apparatus comprising a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit and display the accepted setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the image forming apparatus further comprising:
- a first reading unit configured to perform the reading process by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- a storage unit for converting the image data read by the first reading unit into at least one or more image formats selectable in outputting of the image and store the converted image data in the one or more image formats;
- a control unit configured to control storing of the image data such that after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the converted image data in an image format that meets the processing condition set via the operation unit is retained and the image data in the other image formats that do not meets the processing condition set via the operation unit are discarded;
- and
- an output unit configured to output the converted image data retained by the control unit to the image output unit.
An image forming apparatus comprising a scanner unit adapted to read a document;
- an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit and display the accepted setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the image forming apparatus further comprising:
- a first reading unit configured to perform the reading of the document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- a storage unit for storing the image data read by the first reading unit into a storage area;
- a control unit configured to control storing of the image data such that after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the image data stored in the storage area by the storage unit is converted into image data in image formats selectable in outputting of the image of the image data, the converted image data in the image formats are retained, and the original image data stored in the storage area by the storage unit is deleted;
- and
- an output unit configured to output the converted image data retained by the control unit to the image output unit.
A method of controlling an image forming apparatus including a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit, make the setting, and display the setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the method comprising:
- a first reading step involving reading a document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- a storing step performed by a storage unit to convert the image data read in the first reading step into at least one or more image formats selectable in outputting of the image and store the resultant converted image data in the one or more image formats;
- a data retaining step involving retaining image data after the setting via the operation unit is completed such that, of the image data converted in the one or more formats and stored in the storage area in the storing step, image data converted in an image format that meets the processing condition set via the operation unit is retained and image data in the other image formats that do not meets the processing condition set via the operation unit are deleted;
- and
- an outputting step involving outputting the converted image data retained in the data retaining step to the image output unit.
A method of controlling an image forming apparatus including a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit, make the setting, and display a status of the setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the method comprising:
- a first reading step involving reading a document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- a storing step performed by a storage unit to store the image data read in the first reading step into a storage area;
- a data retaining step involving retaining image data such that, after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the image data stored in the storage area in the storing step is converted into image data in image formats selectable in outputting of the image of the image data, the converted image data in the image formats are retained, and the original image data stored in the storage area in the storing step is deleted;
- and
- an outputting step performed by output means to output the converted image data retained in the data retaining step to the image output unit.
An image forming apparatus adapted to read a document image, perform image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and output the image data, subjected to the image processing, in the image output mode, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- a setting unit configured to make settings including an input setting associated with reading of the document and corresponding to the image output mode;
- a start command receiving unit configured to receive an image output start command issued by a user;
- and
- a control unit configure to control the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the input setting by the setting unit is completed and before the start command receiving unit receives the image output start command.
An image forming apparatus adapted to read a document image, perform image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and output the image data subjected to the image processing in the image output mode, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- a setting unit for setting associated with a data format of the image data acquired as a result the image processing corresponding to the image output mode;
- a start command receiving unit configured to receive an image output start command issued by a user;
- and
- a control unit configured to control the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the setting of the data format by the setting unit is completed and before the start command receiving unit receives the image output start command.
An image forming apparatus adapted to read a document image, and form an image based on the image data acquired as a result of the reading of a document, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- a document reading unit adapted to read a document;
- an operation unit including a display screen and adapted to perform inputting associated with the forming of the image by the image forming apparatus;
- and
- a control unit configured to display a first operation interface on the display screen of the operation unit and controlling the image forming operation such that when a predetermined first operation is performed on the first operation interface, the document reading operation by the document reading unit is started, and a second operation interface is displayed on the display screen, and furthermore, if a predetermined operation is performed on the second operation interface, the image forming operation is started.
A method of forming an image by reading a document image, performing image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and outputting the image data, subjected to the image processing, in the image output mode, the method comprising:
- a setting step involving making settings including an input setting associated with reading of the document and corresponding to the image output mode;
- a step of receiving an image output start command issued by a user;
- and
- a step of controlling the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the input setting in the setting step is completed and before the image output start command is received in the step of receiving the image output start command.
A method of forming an image by reading a document image, performing image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and outputting the image data, subjected to the image processing, in the image output mode, the method comprising:
- a step of determining a data format of image data acquired as a result of the image processing, the data format corresponding to the image output mode;
- and
- a step of controlling the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the determination of the data format in the determination step is completed and before an image output start command is received.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- image reading means for reading image data;
- image output means for outputting an image based on the read image data;
- and
- start command receiving means for receiving an image output start command issued by a user,
- wherein the image reading means includes first reading means for reading the image data before the start command receiving means receives the image output start command, and
- the image output means outputs the image after the start command receiving means receives the image output start command.
An image forming apparatus comprising a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit and display the accepted setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the image forming apparatus further comprising:
- first reading means for performing the reading process by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- storage means for converting the image data read by the first reading means into at least one or more image formats selectable in outputting of the image and store the converted image data in the one or more image formats;
- control means for controlling storing of the image data such that after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the converted image data in an image format that meets the processing condition set via the operation unit is retained and the image data in the other image formats that do not meets the processing condition set via the operation unit are discarded;
- and
- output means for outputting the converted image data retained by the control means to the image output unit.
An image forming apparatus comprising a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit and display the accepted setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the image forming apparatus further comprising:
- first reading means for performing the reading of the document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- storage means for storing the image data read by the first reading means into a storage area;
- control means for controlling storing of the image data such that after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the image data stored in the storage area by the storage means is converted into image data in image formats selectable in outputting of the image of the image data, the converted image data in the image formats are retained, and the original image data stored in the storage area by the storage means is deleted;
- and
- output means for outputting the converted image data retained by the control means to the image output unit.
A computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for controlling an image forming apparatus including a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit, make the setting, and display the setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the computer readable medium comprising:
- computer-executable instructions for reading a document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- computer-executable instructions for converting the read image data read into at least one or more image formats selectable in outputting of the image and storing the resultant converted image data in the one or more image formats;
- computer-executable instructions for retaining image data after the setting via the operation unit is completed such that, of the image data converted in the one or more formats and stored in the storage area, image data converted in an image format that meets the processing condition set via the operation unit is retained and image data in the other image formats that do not meets the processing condition set via the operation unit are deleted;
- and
- computer-executable instructions for outputting the converted image data retained in the data retaining step to the image output unit.
A computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for controlling an image forming apparatus including a scanner unit adapted to read a document, an operation unit adapted to accept setting of a processing condition for image data of the document read by the scanner unit, make the setting, and display a status of the setting, an image conversion unit adapted to convert the image data in accordance with the processing condition specified via the operation unit, and an image output unit adapted to output the image data converted by the image conversion unit, the computer readable medium comprising:
- computer-executable instructions for reading a document by the scanner unit before the setting via the operation unit is completed;
- computer-executable instructions for storing the read image data read into a storage area;
- computer-executable instructions for retaining image data such that, after the setting via the operation unit is completed, the image data stored in the storage area is converted into image data in image formats selectable in outputting of the image of the image data, the converted image data in the image formats are retained, and the original image data stored in the storage area in the storing step is deleted;
- and
- computer-executable instructions for outputting the converted retained image data to the image output unit.
A computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for forming an image by reading a document image, performing image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and outputting the image data, subjected to the image processing, in the image output mode, the computer readable medium comprising:
- computer-executable instructions for making settings including an input setting associated with reading of the document and corresponding to the image output mode;
- computer-executable instructions for receiving an image output start command issued by a user;
- and
- computer-executable instructions for controlling the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the input setting is completed and before the image output start command is received.
A computer readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for forming an image by reading a document image, performing image processing corresponding to an image output mode on the image data acquired by reading the document image, and outputting the image data, subjected to the image processing, in the image output mode, the computer-executable instructions comprising:
- computer-executable instructions for determining a data format of image data acquired as a result of the image processing, the data format corresponding to the image output mode;
- and
- computer-executable instructions for controlling the reading of the document such that the reading of the document is started after the determination of the data format is completed and before an image output start command is received.
