Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention comprise systems, methods and devices for imaging device event notification administration and subscription.
Claims20
A method for imaging device event notification subscription, said method comprising:
- a) sending an event subscription request from a subscribing application to a notification application on an imaging device (IDev), said request comprising a subscribing application address and an event identification;
- b) wherein said subscription request enables said notification application to maintain a subscription record and send a notification to said subscribing application, at said subscribing application address, when an event identified in said event identification occurs.
An apparatus for imaging device event notification subscription, said apparatus comprising:
- a) a subscribing application comprising
- i) a subscribing application address at which said application may receive data, and
- ii) a sender for sending a subscription request;
- b) wherein said sender may send an event subscription request from said subscribing application to an IDev notification application, said request comprising said subscribing application address and an event identification;
- c) wherein said notification application may record a subscription record comprising said subscribing application address and said event identification;
- and
- d) wherein said subscription request enables said notification application to send a notification to said subscribing application at said subscribing application address when an event described in said event identification occurs.
