Abstract
An information appliance includes a network connection, a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection to provide two-way communication and a video processor connected to the network connection. The information appliance remains in a powered state such that media may be continually sent to the information appliance from a variety of media sources.

An information appliance system comprising:
- a network connection;
- a telecommunications processor connected to the network connection and providing two-way communication;
- a video processor connected to the network connection;
- wherein said information appliance remains in a powered state such that media may be continually sent to the information appliance from a variety of media sources.
